The transport of Dangerous Goods (DG) by air using Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) is a highly specialized operation governed by stringent international and EASA regulations. Due to the significant risks involved, exceptional competency and adherence to procedures are demanded from the remote pilot and the entire operational crew.
This EASA endorsement module provides the critical additional theoretical knowledge and practical training required to manage these risks and comply with all applicable regulations for transporting DG. It covers aspects from DG classification and packing to emergency response. Successful completion, including assessment by a European designated training institution, is essential for any pilot involved in such operations.
Important: As per EASA guidelines and safety requirements, this advanced module can only be booked and undertaken in combination with the “EASA endorsement module: transport and/or dropping of cargo.” This ensures a foundational understanding of general cargo operations before specializing in Dangerous Goods.
The ability to transport and/or drop cargo using Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) opens up a wide range of applications, from logistics and delivery to specialized industrial or emergency tasks. However, such operations introduce unique risks and require specific competencies from the remote pilot and UA crew.
This EASA endorsement module provides the necessary additional theoretical knowledge and practical training to address these requirements. It ensures that pilots understand the implications of carrying external or internal loads, the procedures for safe attachment and release, and the risk mitigation strategies essential for these types of operations. Successful completion demonstrates that your competency has been assessed by a European designated training institution.
Note: For the transport of dangerous goods, an additional specific endorsement module is required and can often be taken in conjunction with this module.
The EASA Remote Pilot Complete Training (RPCT) provides comprehensive instruction covering all the minimum theoretical knowledge and practical skill requirements set by EASA for remote pilots conducting Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) operations within the Specific Category.
This training is essential for pilots whose operations fall outside the scope of EASA Standard Scenarios (STS) and therefore require a SORA (Specific Operations Risk Assessment) based operational authorisation. The RPCT ensures you are equipped to understand and manage the complexities of such advanced UAS operations.
While this course covers the foundational EASA requirements, please note that additional specialised training, such as EASA endorsement modules (e.g., for night operations, BVLOS) or UAS type-specific training, may be necessary depending on the exact nature of the operations described in your operator’s manual and operational authorisation.
If your intended operations can be performed under an EASA Standard Scenario (STS-01/02), the requirements for pilots are different, and our STS training may be more suitable.
Operating Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) represents a significant step in operational capability, and with it comes a heightened level of risk and complexity. This EASA endorsement module is specifically designed for highly experienced remote pilots who need to acquire the specialized competencies for planning and conducting BVLOS operations.
EASA mandates that such advanced operations are supported by robust training. This endorsement module provides the essential additional theoretical knowledge and practical training to meet these demanding requirements. Successfully completing this module signifies that you have been tested by a European designated training institution and possess the advanced skills necessary to manage the unique challenges of flying UAS beyond the pilot’s direct visual range, typically within the EASA Specific Category under an operational authorisation.
This EASA endorsement module is tailored for remote pilots who need to conduct Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) operations during nighttime hours. Depending on the specific nature and risk profile of the UAS operation, flying at night often imposes additional requirements on the remote pilot and the UA crew.
EASA has formulated specific endorsement modules, like this one for night operations, to ensure pilots acquire the necessary competencies through both additional theoretical knowledge and practical training. Successfully completing this module demonstrates that you have the required skills and that your knowledge has been tested by a European designated training institution, enabling you to safely and effectively manage UAS flights after dark.
This EASA Standard Scenario Training (STS-01/02) is designed for remote pilots who need to conduct operations within the EASA Specific Category under an EASA standard scenario (STS). Successfully completing this training and acquiring the necessary certificates (STS-01 & STS-02) allows for operations such as Visual Line of Sight (VLOS) over a controlled ground area in a populated environment (STS-01) and Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) with Airspace Observers over a controlled ground area (STS-02).
This comprehensive training covers both theoretical knowledge and demanding practical skills essential for these advanced operations, ensuring you meet the EASA requirements for pilot competency in these scenarios.
Please note: For operations in the EASA Specific Category not covered by an STS (e.g., those requiring a SORA or PDRA beyond standard scenarios), the EASA Remote Pilot Complete Training (RPCT) may be necessary.
This EU Remote Pilot Certificate (A2) Training is designed for Remote Pilots who already hold an A1/A3 certificate of competency and wish to obtain their A2 subcategory rating.
The A2 certificate allows for more complex operations within the EASA Open Category, such as flying closer to uninvolved people under specific conditions. This course builds upon your existing knowledge with advanced topics crucial for these types of operations.
From January 1, 2023, the new European regulation on drones is in force in EU states. The new regulation also introduces new EU drone licensees, which are mandatory for the operation of most drones.
Every remote pilot of unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) weighing 250g or more or with a camera is required to carry a valid A1/A3 remote pilot certificate and a certificate of insurance for drone liability insurance.
This foundational certificate ensures you understand the essential rules and safety procedures for flying drones in the Open Category, making your operations compliant and safe.
Successfully completing your Radio Telephony (RT) theory and practical exams is a significant achievement. However, making that first live contact with Air Traffic Control (ATC), especially for operations within Controlled Airspace (CTR), can still be a daunting experience. Our RT Practice Day, also known as “CTR surgery training,” is specifically designed to bridge this gap.
This intensive, hands-on course focuses on refining the essential skills for safe, efficient, and confident communication with ATC. Under the guidance of an experienced instructor, you will gain invaluable practical experience in requesting permissions, preparing and executing flight plans that involve ATC coordination, and establishing effective communication links. We aim to ensure that when you make your debut call to ATC, you do so with clarity and confidence.
Our Professional UAS Flight Training programs are designed to elevate your practical piloting skills, tailored to your specific professional goals and operational needs.
